• The dog’s cesarean section should not be done before the overdue date of delivery. The operation should only be conducted when the labor pain starts or when the temperature drops below 99 degrees F. The doctors should also be very careful of the timing of the Cesar for the survival of the pups.

Nowadays, vets generally use Propofol as an anesthetic during the C-section. The anesthesia should be given for a few minutes and then masking the medicine down with the aid of ice-o-Florine. This process of anesthesia results in the pups to be crying just like in the case of natural birth. Isoflurane is also an effective anesthetic medication though being expensive.
